PinAddicts challenge number 3!

Linking over at Sew Scrumptious for challenge number 3!

This month has been a hectic flurry of painting and decorating as we switched bedrooms around and working on an up and coming craft fair I haven't had much time for personal crafting, however browsing through my pinterest board I found this easy idea to use up some hamma beads :)

This site has a wonderful tutorial of how she made these bowls :) Here is my effort.

Gather together all things needed, ceramic bowls, beads and oil, the oil is used to lightly coat the inside of the bowls it helps the beads stick and also helps for them to slide out after melting and cooling.

For quickness I just used a mixture of colours for this project to find out if it would work, it would be nice to use certain colours or to even make patterns if you have the time :)

Dodgy oven picture, I didn't really know how long to leave them in for or at what temperature I went for 180, and 5-7 mins seems to worked I sat and watched the whole time just in case of something un-wanted happening :)

Here they are I love how simple this project is and how cute they turned out, I think this would be a fun project for older children to do that are able to use the oven and use there hamma beads for a different project.

Pinaddict challenge 2, Crochet

Linking over at melksham mum's blog for challenge 2.

I LOVE to crochet and my second pinaddict challenge is a project I have been working on since the start of the year a lovely bobble blanket, I have many crochet pins on my pinterest board and this one stuck out as a must try stitch, the original is found over at mooglyblog.

Sorry I didn't take any photos as I went along but followed the basic rule of changing colours every 10 rows to give a random look, it was very time consuming and I am kinda glad to have finished it to start on some new projects :)

The colours have come up a little different than real life on the photos but I liked the fun colours to make it a more of a fun children's blanket.
The feel of this blanket is great running your hands across the hundreds of bobbles :)

Using 10 different colours I have plenty wool left over and will be sure to be posting some more projects soon :)

Pinaddict challenge 1, Perpetual calendar

This is a project I saw and wanted to make for the new year.

Then I found out about the pin addicts pinterest challenge at http://mylovebumps.blogspot.com/ and thought it would be a great opportunity to get some projects made and help me along with blogging :)

I got together all the things needed for the project card and stamp and ink. In the tutorial they use postcards for month dividers however I decided to use photos to make it more personal to myself. I also looked everywhere for a similar cardboard container but with no luck I again turned to my pinterest to see if I could find anything, lucky I did and I purchased a pottery berry basket from Anthropologie.

Here is how my project turned out, I would say the pot is a little small to hold all the cards properly but I love it and it will definitely do (a few years) till I can get to America and buy my self a card berry basket :)

Stamping under way I did this over 2 evenings as it did take some time.

Halloween!

I love Halloween and so do my boys, it has been a long time since I have been able to craft anything, trying to decorate the house and renovate some furniture it still hasn't all been done but with a new Hobby Craft store now open I couldn't wait to craft any longer, I organised my bureau (Still to painted but now a space of my own) and bought some Halloween goodies for the boys craft time and some wreath rings and got stuck in, oh what fun!

Here is said bureau I will eventually sand it down and paint it to fit in with the living room theme and fix the bar that should sit just behind the bottom doors, but I am so happy to finally have a little space to craft and this thing holds a lot and with a lock it's child friendly so added bonus :)
